What is Human Right?
Actually, human rights mean all those rights which are related to the life of the person and his liberty, equality and his respect. These rights are clearly written in the name of Fundamental Rights in Part-III of the Indian Constitution. Apart from this, those rights which have been accepted by the United Nations after international agreement are considered as human rights. These rights include the right to live in a pollution-free environment, the right not to be subjected to torture and degrading treatment in police custody, and the right to respectful treatment of women.
What is Human Rights Commission?
The Human Rights Commission (28 October 1993) is an autonomous and public body constituted under the protection of the Human Rights Ordinance. It was given a statutory basis by the Human Rights Act, 1993. The National Human Rights Commission is responsible for the protection and promotion of human rights. The rights relating to life, liberty, equality and dignity of a person guaranteed by the Constitution as defined by this Act or descended from an international agreement. Human rights are different for different people, they are not static but dynamic in nature. New rights are recognized and enforced from time to time, CIDD is vigilant and ever vigilant about human rights, it is human rights that give every human being the right to live
